This experience takes you on a journey and art is your reward
This is not about finding yourself.
It’s about seeing yourself.
My fine art intimate portrait sessions are for women who want something more than simply having their photograph taken — a chance to step into the frame, be seen - the woman you are now.
Based in the Wairarapa and photographing women from Wellington and around New Zealand (and beyond), I create relaxed, personal portraits with artistry, care, and no expectation that you need to be anyone other than yourself.
Sensual, honest and beautifully considered portraiture for women who want to see themselves differently

For the woman you are now
Shaped by all you've lived, changed by time and perhaps more yourself than ever before

This is your moment
I create relaxed, personal portrait experiences with a little artistry, a lot of care, and no expectation that you need to be anyone other than yourself.
Perhaps you’re looking for boudoir. Perhaps you simply want beautiful, intimate portraits of yourself. Perhaps you’re not quite sure yet.
Whatever brings you here, we can create something that feels personal, honest and completely you — from beautifully understated portraits to something more sensual and expressive.
It’s not about fitting into a particular style. It’s about creating photographs that show you, beautifully, as the woman you are now.
-
It can be.
If you love the idea of lingerie, sensuality and creating something a little more seductive, we can absolutely explore that.
But my work is not limited to a particular style or idea of what a woman should look like.
My work is about the woman herself — her strength, softness, beauty and individuality. It can be intimate, and it may include bare skin or nudity, but there is never an expectation to be sexy or to become someone you’re not.
These are fine art portraits, created around who you are and how you want to be seen.
-
Absolutely not.
This experience is about you, and what feels right for you. Some women choose to include bare skin or nudity, while others prefer to remain fully dressed.
There’s no expectation, no pressure, and no right or wrong.
We’ll talk about what you’re comfortable with, and together create something that feels authentic to you. My job is simply to guide you, make you feel at ease, and create beautiful portraits you’ll love.
-
Honestly? Most women do at first.
You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do — that’s my job. I’ll guide you gently throughout the session, giving you plenty of direction and reassurance.
There’s no pressure to perform or be anyone other than yourself. We’ll take our time, have some laughs, and before long, you’ll begin to relax into the experience.
And that’s often when the magic happens.
-
The day is all about taking things slowly and helping you feel comfortable.
We’ll begin with a chat, a cup of tea or coffee/bubbles, and some time to settle in. From there, I’ll guide you through everything — from where to stand to what to do with your hands.
You don’t need to know how to pose or arrive feeling confident. I’ll guide you gently throughout.
As we go, I’ll introduce some of my favourite creative lenses and techniques. They’re a lovely part of the experience, and I use them intuitively in the moment to create images that feel a little unexpected and uniquely yours.
There’s plenty of time to relax, and enjoy the process. Most women arrive a little nervous, and all of them leave surprised by just how much they enjoyed it.
-
Because I’m a woman too.
I understand how complicated our relationship with ourselves and our bodies can be — and how that changes through the different chapters of our lives.
After more than 30 years behind a camera, I also know how to see a woman. I know how light falls, what is flattering, how a little movement can change an image, and how to create photographs that feel beautiful without changing who you are.
But what I love most is watching a woman see herself through my eyes.
That moment when she looks at an image and thinks, “Oh… I didn’t realise I looked like that.”
That’s the part that makes my heart sing.
Because I’m not creating a different version of you.
I’m showing you the woman that’s already there.
-
Your session is the beginning of the experience — time with me to create something truly personal to you.
We’ll talk beforehand about what you’d like to wear and the feeling you want your portraits to have. Hair and makeup can be arranged too, if that’s something you’d enjoy.
Then comes the really exciting part: seeing what we’ve created together.
You’ll have the opportunity to turn your portraits into beautiful, one-of-a-kind artwork for your home, as well as intimate books and collections to keep and treasure.
Because of the way I photograph and create, your finished pieces won’t look like anyone else’s. They’ll be uniquely yours — artwork created from your story, your personality and this moment in your life.
The session is the beginning. The artwork is what remains.
-
Absolutely. In fact, I love it.
There’s something incredibly personal about photographing a woman in a space that is her own — her home, a favourite hotel, or somewhere that holds meaning for her. It helps create photographs that feel natural, personal and completely unique to her.
I’m happy to travel wherever your story takes us. Travel and accommodation costs are additional, and we’ll simply discuss these when planning your session.
-
Every woman is different, and so is what she chooses to create from her portraits.
Sessions start from $250, with fine art prints and finished pieces from $550 upwards. It’s not unusual for women to invest $1,500 or more in a collection of beautiful finished artwork, depending on what they fall in love with.
Some women choose one special piece for their home; others create a collection or an intimate book of their portraits.
I’m very happy to send you my full pricing information and talk through the options with you before you book, so you know exactly what to expect and can choose what feels right for you.
Let’s talk about you…
Tell me a little about yourself, what you’re looking for, or simply what’s brought you here.
There’s no need to have it all figured out — we can have a conversation, answer any questions you have, and explore what might feel right for you.
