When discussing idea’s with Zeb’s mum we initially discussed a number of options for his portraits. It was when his mum said he had an affinity with Zebra’s the whole portrait session fell into place…I suggested a mix of locations; something that has the feel of a natural habitat for a zebra, and something more colour block/ and contemporary. His outfit was made by some senior students at his mum’s school, and Zeb the Zebra was created! And I added some smoke bombs during the shoot for ‘dusty’ atmosphere, and they’re always fun (not to mention exciting!) to play with.
His final images were a gorgeous mix of both locations - and capture beautifully his age and energy.
